Curriculum Vitae
Sebastian Dambone Sessa was born in Venezia, Italy, in 1981. He received the Dr. Ing. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2010, and the Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2017. In 2018, he was appointed as Researcher for the Department of Industrial Engineering in Padova University. His main fields of research include transmission line modelling (cables and overhead lines), power lines fault location techniques, stationary electrochemical and hybrid storage systems and high voltage direct current installations. He is a member of the Cigrè Working Groups B1.47, B1.45 and B1.56. He is member of IEEE and of Italian AEIT.

He has the following teaching assignments in 2018/2019:

1. Course of “Monitoring Techniques And Systems For High Voltage Insulated Cables” for the PhD School in Electrical Engineering
2. Course of “Power Systems (Impianti elettrici)” in collaboration with Professor Roberto Turri for the Energy Engineering degree course.

Research areas

Transmission line modelling (cables, GIL and overhead lines), power lines fault location techniques, electrochemical and hybrid storage systems for grid services, high voltage direct current installations.
