Curriculum Vitae
Marcello Lunardon is Associate Professor at the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy of the Padova University since Oct. 2014. He obtained the degree in Physics in 1994 with honors and the PhD in Physics in 1998. In 1998 he worked as Post Doc Research Associate at the Cyclotron Institute of the Texas A&M University. From 1999 to 2003 he worked as post-doc at the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy in Padova. In 2004 he became staff researcher. During the first period of his scientific career he worked on the field of Nuclear Physics with heavy ion reactions at low and intermediate energies, studying highly deformed nuclei (degree and PhD thesis) and nuclear reaction mechanisms (Post-doc at TAMU and at LNL). Since 1999 he worked also on Applied Nuclear Physics in several projects funded by INFN (EXPLODET) and EC (DIAMINE, EURITRACK and ERITR@C, MODES_SNM). He was Coordinator of the Cooperation Project TAWARA_RTM (2013-2016) funded by the EC with 2.6M euro under the FP7 programme. He’s now deputy WP leader in the H2020 C-BORD project. Since 2002 he’s working on the ALICE experiment at the LHC (CERN), in the field of ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions. He participated at the construction of the Silicon Pixel Detector (SPD) of the Inner Tracking System (ITS) of ALICE, working mainly on the assembly task. Moreover he studied some decay channels of charm and beauty particles and was also working on the development of alignment tools and procedures for the ITS. He’s currently member of the ALICE PWGHF, working on the measurement of the D0 production, and the ITS-Upgrade. He was local team leader of the INFN ALICE-Padova research group from 2011 to 2015. The scientific activity is demonstrated by more than 300 articles on international journals. Moreover he participated as speaker to many international conferences, workshops, and meetings.

- Fisica Nucleare delle Alte Energie: studio delle collisioni tra ioni pesanti ad energie ultrarelativistiche; plasma di quark e gluoni (QGP); produzione di particelle con quark pesanti (charm e beauty); esperimento ALICE a LHC.
- Fisica Nucleare Applicata: rivelazione di materiale speciale radioattivo (progetto FP7 MODES_SNM) e rivelazione di contaminazioni radioattive nelle acque degli acquedotti civili (progetto FP7 TAWARA_RTM)
