Curriculum Vitae
Associate Professor, FIS/01, at the Physics and Astronomy Department, Padua University.
Degree in Physics with honors at the Torino University in 1993, PhD in Physics in 1998, scientific collaborator at Hamburg University (BAT II/A) in 1998-2001, INFN researcher (ex. art. 23 D.P.R. 171/91) from 2001 to 2006, university researcher in 2006, scientific sector FIS/01.

Main activities and scientific and organization responsibilities:
- 1993-2007. Active member of the ZEUS experiment at the HERA collider in Hamburg, Germany. (Study of the electron-proton interactions at high energy)
- 1998-2000 coordinator of the production of silicon strips modules for the ZEUS Micro Vertex Detector and project leader for the Micro Vertex Detector group at the Hamburg University.
- in 2001 joined the OPERA collaboration and participated to the design and construction of the OPERA magnetic spectrometers. The latters are used to identify the muons and reconstruct their charge and momentum. He has coordinated the production and the quality control tests of the Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) detectors for the OPERA spectrometer and has participated to the installation of the RPCs in the spectrometers.
- in 2007 joined the GERDA Collaboration. Main responsibilities: design and development of the slow control and Germanium detectors DAQ.
- from 2012, scientific coordinator reepresenting INFN Padova at the INFN Scientific Committe 2 (Astroparticle and Neutrino Physics).
- from 2014, local PI for the JUNO experiment (Jiangmeng Neutrino Observatory), a next generation detector in construction phase in China for the neutrino mass hierarchy measurement. Coordinator (L3) for the digital electronic card (Global Control Unit) for JUNO.
- 2014 - 2017, member of the Editorial Board of the GERDA experiment.
- from 2014, chair of the Publication Board of the JUNO experiment.
- from 2016, coordinator of the whole electronics of the JUNO central detector.

He has presented the physics results on behalf of the ZEUS, H1, OPERA, GERDA and JUNO Collaborations in several international conferences.
He is co-author of more than 300 scientific publications on international scientific journals. Lecturer of many Physics Courses at the Science Faculty of Padova University. He has been supervisor caring for the redaction of the thesis works of undergraduate students in Physics and Computer Science and Electronics Engineering.
