Curriculum vitae & studiorum.
Born at Pordenone on 1971. 1989: undergraduate in chemistry (60/60). 2001: Degree in Chemistry cum laude. 2002: Get a grant from Titolchimica and works on the optimization of reactants for COD and Karl-Fisher determination. 2003: He specializes in chemiometry, and Mass spectrometry. 2006: get the degree of PhD. In Chemical Sciences. Winner of a competitive examination becomes Researcher (CHIM01) at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Padova. 2008-2011: received a grant from the University of Padova (PRAT2008) titled: “Building and characterization of oxygen sensor based on luminescence quenching of molecules embedded in organic, inorganic or hybrid polymeric thin films and applications in environmental and ambiental field” 2009-2011 collaborates with CLR s.r.l. (Rodano) and with AMEL s.r.l. (Milan) for the production of innovative optical fiber based optical sensors and polymers in order to obtain prototypes for oxygen detection in harsh environments, such as in high temperatures and high humidity ones. Dr. Denis Badocco is co-author of 53 publications in international journals, all related to analytical chemistry, and attended several national symposia. She has collected about 598 citations reaching an H-index (Hirsch index) value of 12. Research areas
1 - Fine research
a) Electrochemiluminescent (ECL) processes mainly based on Ruthenium complexes: study of the mechanisms of the involved reactions with tertiary aliphatic amines (also with the use of digital simulation techniques), analytical applications and construction of ECL sensors. b) Construction of gas sensors based on the fluorescence of Ruthenium complexes included in polymeric layers. c) Statistical studies as part of the validation of analytical methods. 2 - Analytical Chemistry applied to the quantification of species of industrial, food and environmental interest. Examples: determination of biogenic amines in chocolate with IC coupled to pulsed amperometry; determination of cyanide and sulphide in waste and surface water with IC coupled to pulsed amperometry at Ag electrode; determination of VOX in soils with HS-SPME coupled to GC-ECD.
