Tesi magistrali

* Misura dell’efficienza di motori, power drive systems e tecniche di controllo per motori sincroni
* Azionamenti capacitor-less: studio di algoritmi innovativi per il controllo (predittivo?) a massima efficienza.
* Simulazione di azionamenti elettrici (e verifica sperimentale) con software freeware (es. Octave, Scilab, Python)
* Possibili tesi in azienda (ad esempio, modellazione di azionamenti in Simulink)
* Algoritmi di intelligenza artificiale per azionamenti elettrici (es. reti neurali)
* Controllori PI a guadagni variabili (gain scheduling) per motori anisotropi: attività sperimentale e teorica

Curriculum Vitae
Fabio Tinazzi started his research activity in year 2011 while he was doing his master thesis at the University of Aalborg, DK, as recipient of a 7 months Erasmus Fellowship. He
developed a new maximum torque-per-ampere control algorithm for synchronous motors. After defending his thesis at the University of Padova, in 2011, he started collaborating with
the Electric Drives group of the Integrated Mechatronics Laboratory of the same University, Dept. of Management and Engineering. In 2013, Fabio Tinazzi started his PhD within the
same laboratory under the supervision of prof. Mauro Zigliotto and he worked on advanced electric drives for mechatronics applications. His focus was mainly on the parameter
estimation techniques and self-sensing control of synchronous motors. While doing the PhD, he was invited to stay for 6 months at The University of Nottingham, UK, where he
designed and implemented an advanced inverter non-idealities compensation technique. At the same time and after the PhD, he also worked on the energy efficiency assessment for
inverter-fed electric motors. Other recent research activities regard the application of artificial intelligence algorithm to electric drives.
Other than in his research activities, he actively collaborated with local industries for several projects. One of them was regarding the design, programming and testing of a special
hardware for the instantaneous PWM voltage measurement based on an FPGA chip.
