Curriculum Vitae

Josemar de Campos Maciel has a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy (from Catholic University Bom Bosco at Campo Grande, MS, 1987) and in Theology (Bachelor and Master, from the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, 1992). Then a Master in Psychology (from Catholic University Bom Bosco at Campo Grande, MS), a PhD, also in Psychology (Pontifical Catholic University at Campinas, SP) and is on his way to finish a first Post-Doctoral Stage at the University of São Paulo (USP), in the field of Cultural Studies.

Dr. Josemar is an University Teacher since 1994, always giving regular courses at the Department of Philosophy of his Alma Mater, the University Dom Bosco. Among his other teaching experiences, that can be checked from his curriculum, one can highlight his collaboration as teacher and supervisor in the Erasmus program (since 2013) and at the DISSGEA of the University of Padua, since 2015, in the Master in Local Development.

His main interest in research is the concept of Development, displaced from the point of view of systems of thought non aligned with Western Philosophy or Sciences. This last theme is the object of his most recent book, under revision, "Hospitality beyond Development: towards a small Conversation".
