Proposals for thesis
Tesi su argomenti di ricerca:

* Separatori fluidodinamici di plastiche disperse (in collaborazione con Sapienza, Roma e KTH Mechanics, numerico/sperimentale)
* Modellazione dell'interazione fluido-struttura con accoppiamento peridinamica/Immersed-Boundary/Navier-Stokes
* Simulazione numerica di sprays turbolenti con evaporazione/combustione (DNS/LES)
* Studio del miscelamento in mezzi porosi per batterie a flusso di Vanadio (numerica o sperimentale)
* Simulazione numerica di fiamme turbolente
* Metodi "Immersed Boundary" per la simulazione di flussi turbolenti in geometrie complesse
* Modulazione della turbolenza in flussi multifase (in collaborazione con KTH Mechanics Stoccolma, Chalmers Gothenburg, TU-Delft e TU-WIEN)
* Trasporto di calore e di massa in sospensioni dense


Tesi con approccio bottom-up:

* Argomenti proposti dallo studente e approvati (anche collaborazioni aziendali)
* Tesi per lo sviluppo aerodinamico dell'aereo in costruzione nell'ambito di Learn-to-Fly (progetto studentesco).
* Tesi per lo sviluppo aerodinamico di un aeromodello per la competizione AIR CARGO CHALLENGE (progetto studentesco).
