Proposals for thesis
- Pollen analysis of Late Pleistocene-Holocene sediments cored in the Venetian Plain to reconstruct the palaeoenvironment
- Microcharcoal analysis of Holocene pollen samples for the reconstruction of the human impact in the land around the ancient town of Altinum (Venezia)
- Tutoring of external stages concerning botanical topics

Curriculum Vitae
Antonella Miola was born on June 13, 1956. Married with 5 children.
She is a researcher in palynology at the Department of Biology in the School of Science - University of Padua. She taught Palynology (1992-2010), Palaeobotany (1996-2008), Development and evolution of organisms (2006-2008), Plant Systematics (2008- today) in the School of Sciences at the University of Padua and Archaeobotany (2008-2009) in the Faculty of Human Sciences). From 2005 she joined the teaching board of the Doctorate School TARS and then of the Doctorate School in Historical, Geographical and Anthropological Studies in the University of Padua up to 2017.

Research areas
Her scientific research has mainly concerned the study of palynomorphs preserved in sediments, mainly pollen, spores and remains of fungi. These microfossils are known to be useful proxies for palaeoenvironment parameters. She studied them for the reconstruction of climatic history, of palaeo-geography and of the human impact in the Eastern Venetian Plan. She analyzed Pleistocene and Holocene sediments taken from sub-soil stratigraphic sequences and archaeological sites. Research has always been carried out in multidisciplinary contexts in order to cross-check the hypotheses suggested by the analysis of palynomorphs with those suggested by other environmental proxies and with archaeological and geomorphological evidence. Recently she participated to the following research project:
Project CARIPARO 2007-2008 "Padova underground: an integrated geo-archaeological investigation of the roots of the city". Scient. coord. dr. Paolo Mozzi.
UNIPD Project 2008-2009 "Processi erosivi e deposizionali nel bacino del Piave in relazione alle variazioni climatiche e all'impatto antropico dall'Ultimo Massimo Glaciale al presente". Scient. coord. Prof. A. Carton.
A. M. Mercuri.
INTERREG Italy-Slovenia Project 2011-2013 SiiT “School-oriented Interactive Identification Tools: exploring biodiversity in a cross-border area” - Scient. Coord. PL Nimis.
PRAT 2013 "Climate oscillations and evolution of relief in the Venetian Prealps from the Last Glacial Maximum to the Holocene"- Scient. coord.prof. A. Bondesan
