Curriculum Vitae
He got a Master’s degree “summa cum laude” in Agricultural Science and technology at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Padua in 2002.
In 2003, he won the selection to for the PhD course in “Agri-Food Economics and Policy” at the University of Padua (Italy). In 2005, during his PhD, he collaborated six months at the Department of Agribusiness Extension and Rural Development of the University College of Dublin thanks to a grant financed by “Ing. A. Gini” Foundation.
In 2006 he got the PhD in “Agri-Food Economics and Policy” at the University of Padua, defending the thesis “Technical efficiency of Italian beef cattle farm using stochastic production frontier approach”.
In November 2006 he got a position as Contract Researcher at the Department of Land and Agro-Forestry System (TeSAF) for the project “Valuing the Protected designation of origin labels: the case of Tocai”.
In September 2007 he got the position as Researcher at the University of Padua doing his institutional lecturer activity at the Faculty of Agriculture/School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine teaching Economics, Business Economics and Agro-food Marketing. His Academic position at the University of Padova become permanent in 2010. Since 2015 is Associate Professor at the department of Land, Environment Agriculture and Forestry of the University of Padova. He is currently Vice-Director of the same Department.
Since September 2006, he is part of expertise list of National Institute of Agricultural Economics (INEA).
From 2011 to 2012, he has been member of the Committee for the evaluation of the research project at the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
In 2012, he was evaluator of projects funded by the consortium "ERA-Net CORE Organic II" for the assessment of project proposals under the thematic area: "Organic Markets".
He represent its Department within the Scientific Committee of theVenetian Dairy Association (ALCAVE) and is member of the Scientific Committee of the Project TERGEO of the Italian Wine Union (UIV).
He is member of the Italian Society of Agricultural Economics (SIDEA), the Italian Society of Agro-food Economics (SIEA), the European Association of Agricultural Economics (EAAE) and of the American association of Wine Economics (AAWE).
He collaborate as reviewer of international scientific journal indexed by ISI/Scopus like “European Review of Agricultural Economics”, “Journal of Wine Research”, “Agriculture and Human Values”, “Small Ruminant Research” “New MEDIT” and “Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias”.
