Proposals for thesis
I may follow dissertations that deal with a limited number of issues. I can follow students and accompany them on their path on a limited set of issues on which I am experienced. I believe it is important to be clear - in the teacher-student relationship - about the real possibilities of the teacher to follow the student only on the issues on which he is able to be of real support.
The following are the current topics:

- Social inclusion policies for Roma, Sinti and Travelers (national, regional or local level)
- Migration policies and social cohesion policies for migrants (national, regional or local level)
- Anti-gambling policies (examples of)
- Participatory process

Matteo Bassoli after obtaining a M.sc. in Economics and Sociology from the Bocconi University, he was awarded a PhD in Political Science from the University of Pavia (2007) while working in two different research institutes (URGE-Turin, POLEIS Bocconi-Milan). From 2007 to 2014, as a member of the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management of the Bocconi University, he undertook research on local policy-making and the involvement of private stakeholders, focusing on different fields of intervention: unemployment (Younex project), poverty (Cope project) and social inclusion (Localise). He was visiting scholar at the School of Public Policy (University College of London), Germe/Metices (Université Libre di Bruxelles) and Cevipof – SciencesPo. In 2014 he was awarded the position of assistant professor at the ECampus University where he taught Public Administration and Public policy, in 2019 he was awarded a tenured position at the University of Padua. Since 2011 he worked as researcher and project manager for different institutions. The core issues of his consultancies are local policies and social inclusion. As a national expert, he worked on the project “Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion (LERI)” - Multi-Annual Roma Programme of the Fundamental Right Agency (2013- 2016), drafting the final report for the Mantua locality and supervising the one on Bologna. Lately, he was policy analyst for different projects “Evaluation of the EU Framework for National Roma Integration Strategies up to 2020” funded by European Commission (2017-2018), “GIANO. Integration services in Europe. Asylum seekers and immigrant entrepreneurs: the two paths of integration” (FAMI 2014-2020).
