Syllabus
Prerequisites: Basic notions of Modern and Contemporary History are recommended.
Target skills and knowledge: Knowledge of the fundamental aspects of the theory of knowledge and scientific rationality in modern and contemporary philosophy; capacity for critical analysis; methodological maturity which enables the student to use his own competence in an autonomous way.
Examination methods: Final assessment will be conducted as a written exam with open questions.
Assessment criteria: The knowledge of the topics and the capacity of critical analysis will be evaluated.
Course unit contents: Conscience and death.

In modern epos, the death has been considered as an empirical event, characterized by physiological phenomena and observable as objective terms. The great achievements of techne and the discovery of the science have shifted the limits of the life of the body. The course aims to present and discuss the theme of death, in contemporary philosophy.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course will be held in 28 hours of frontal lessons; the topics indicated in the program will be presented and discussed.
