Syllabus
Prerequisites: The knowledge of topics of Basic concepts of Psychology is extremely useful to follow the lessons
Target skills and knowledge: The aim of this course is to give notions on the biological bases of the principal cognitive processes such as memory, language and emotions.
The starting point is the functioning of the neuron and then of complex neurological structures as bases for the cognitive processes.
Examination methods: Written exam: 31 Multiple choice questions regarding both modules. The exam is carried out on the computer and it lasts 35 minutes. In every classes, examples of questions similar to the ones in the exam will be provided. At the end of the course a mock exam will be offered to allow a self evaluation of the student and to allow him/her to be more familiar with the procedure.
Assessment criteria: Students will be evaluated on the acquisition of the topics included in the book chapters.
