Prerequisites:
|
No prior knowledge of the Spanish language is required. |
Target skills and knowledge:
|
The primary objective of the course is to make students acquire the communication skills to interact in a simple way with native speakers and as a secondary objective to provide the tools to understand oral or written texts of specific topics of the scientific-disciplinary field object of study. |
Examination methods:
|
The exam consists in a written test which requires the translation of six microdialogues referring to everyday situations (on the street, among friends, at the market, at the station ...) and an oral exam in which the student must comment on the written exam , paying particular attention to the mistakes that have been made and proposing - if he will be able - right alternative solutions. Students who take the 9 credits exam must also read a fragment of one of the Spanish texts indicated in the curriculum (at the last point of the "Didactic content") and translate it into Italian.
In the written test will be evaluated the ability demonstrated by the student to communicate in the proposed situations and the correctness with which it is expressed; in the oral exam the degree of correctness with which the reading is made and the level of comprehension of the original text through its translation will be taken into account. |
Assessment criteria:
|
For the final judgment of each student, the teacher will take into account not only of the result obtained in the written and oral test, but also of the knowledge demonstrated in the class during the academic course. |
Course unit contents:
|
Didactic content
Elements of phonetics and phonology.
Basic morphosyntactic structures of the Spanish language.
Linguistic exercises in simulated situations of everyday reality that stimulate the active participation of students and induce them to practice the four skills in an integrated way.
Elements of Spanish and Hispanic civilization.
Sectoral Vocabulary (territory and tourism).
Reading and analyzing texts of tourism (in particular cultural tourism) obtained from the press and the internet. |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods:
|
The four skills are exercised: written and oral comprehension, written and oral production. The lessons include a part of frontal teaching, and another part of working in pairs or in small groups, sometimes using cooperative learning methods. |
Additional notes about suggested reading:
|
The paper news to prepare for the oral exam will be provided during the course. |
