Common characteristics of the Integrated Course unit

Specific characteristics of the Module

Course unit contents: 1st credit: The origin and diversity of life. Principles of metabolism and bioenergetics.
2nd credit: Cell biology.
3rd credit: Cellular respiration. The synthesis of proteins. Mitosis and meiosis.
4th credit: Animal systems.
5th credit: Principles of evolution. An introduction to ecology.
6th credit: Classification of animal kingdom.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course comprises theoretical lessons (40 hours) as well as laboratory activities (8 hours).
Additional notes about suggested reading: The study material is the copy of the slides used during the lessons, which will be provided online: https://elearning.unipd.it/scuolaamv/ (Moodle). The use of a reference book is recommended.
