Prerequisites: Good reading skills and comprehension of literary texts in Portuguese. The level of ‘competence’ and ‘linguistic execution’ envisaged corresponds to the frequency with profit of the three-year cycle of studies.

Examination methods: The exam will take place in oral form with discussion and presentation of a work chosen from those indicated by the teacher. Specifically, the student will be asked to apply the knowledge acquired during the course in an autonomous and conscious way, proving to be able to construct a relevant, clear, effective and personal critical discourse.
Assessment criteria: It will be evaluated:

Course unit contents: The course will focus on the following topics:
1) Portuguese-speaking African literatures;
2) Analysis of the peculiarities of Mozambican literature within the other Portuguese-speaking African literatures;
