Syllabus
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the basic concepts of General psychology, Developmental psychology and Work psychology.
Target skills and knowledge: The course studies in depth socio-economic characteristics of our society, the role of career construction and career counseling, the main dimensions of career counseling, examines criteria to implement efficacious individual and group activities, and explores ways to evaluate their efficacy.
Examination methods: The exam will be in written form, with open-ended
questions. The exam lasts an hour.
Assessment criteria: - Knowledge of the theoretical topics covered by the program
- Use of technical language
- Knowledge of procedures for assessment and intervention
Course unit contents: - Recent models and theories in Vocational Psychology
- dimensions and instruments (adaptability, career preparedness, resilience, ecc.) for career construction
- career counseling
- career education and career coaching
- difficult cases (young adults, unemployed people, ecc.)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The lectures will discuss the main theoretical and methodological issues of the discipline and will present field experiences. In addition to the lectures, practicals will be used for an in-depth analysis of the main topics.
Additional notes about suggested reading: International students is provided the opportunity to study material in English to be agreed with the professor
