A basic knowledge of work and organizational psychology is required. |
Target skills and knowledge:
|
Starting from a reflection on the role of the Human Resource Function, the course aims to elaborate on issues relating to the management, development, and valorization of people in organizational contexts, with particular reference to the current work market. Students will acquire essential knowledge for the understanding of the considered topics, the specific language of the discipline, and will learn the ability to translate knowledge into applications. |
Examination methods:

Written examination with 6 open questions to answer in an hour and a half. |
Assessment criteria:
|
The preparation and assessment of students will be based on mastery of theoretical and methodological perspectives related to the topics covered, as well as on their ability to apply this knowledge to the possible areas of intervention in the human resources management and organizational development. |

- modes and techniques of management of people in organizational contexts (selection, from job analysis to job evaluation, performance and potential appraisal, work-life balance, international management, diversity management)

5) The human resource manager: values, competencies, and training for a responsible management |
Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

The lectures aim to explore the issues proposed and provide guidance to students as they study the text and will be complemented by discussions, in-depth analyses, and debates with professionals in the field of human resource management.
Individual and group exercises will allow students the chance to get to know specific work realities.
Research and organizational intervention cases will be presented. Students’ active participation will be greatly appreciated. |
