Prerequisites: Fisica tecnica
Target skills and knowledge: To give technical information and energy and economics evaluation elements on renewable energies
Assessment criteria: Before oral examination a thesis individually assigned must be discussed
Course unit contents: TECHNIQUES
Solar thermal. Solar thermodynamics. Solar cooling. Photovoltaics. Wind energy. Municipal Solid Wastes. Energy saving. Other sources.
Applied and economic features of renewable energy sources.
Energy storage. Smart grid. Distributed generation. Dual source. Incentives: genesis, development, results, costs.
Feasibility study and technical-economical evaluation of renewable energy plants.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Traditional with numerical excercises
