Target skills and knowledge: - Understanding a number of techniques for management and cost accounting
- Designing a management and cost accounting system, which is coherent with the context
Examination methods: Written exam
Case study discussion
Assessment criteria: The evaluation will be based on:
- A written exam on the understanding of the contents, and the ability of interpreting and analyzing case studies.
- The analysis and discussion of a case study
Course unit contents: Introduction to management accounting, terms and concepts; cost assignment; activity based costing; Decision-making under conditions of risk and uncertainty; Information for decision-making; the budgeting process; budget and strategy; reporting; lean accounting; organizatinal culture and management accounting
