Notes: The first year internship provides students with basic practical elements to allow them to access the training courses of the following years with adequate baggage.
In particular, this training includes acquisition of fundamental knowledge of:
- Bio-medical safety, including isolation techniques and Antiseptics.
- Basic life support (BLS), including baseline knowledge and expertise of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use of automated external defibrillator (AED). Competence in BLS is a prerequisite for enrollment to all advanced-level trainings provided by the Italian Resuscitation Council and European Resuscitation Council. - Nurse's role and responsibilities, - Patients pressure ulcers prevention and treatment, - Pain assessment, including skills on different types of pain and of Pain Assessment Tools
