Syllabus
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Excel and Probability
Target skills and knowledge: The objective of the course is to learn how to analyze decisional problems described in ordinary language and how to build appropriate mathematical models representing them. These models will be solved using a software (e.g., Excel) but the main objective is to develop a critical capacity toward the validation of the models used.
Examination methods: Written test (mandatory); an optional oral test may be required.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Most of the lectures will not be theoretical. They will proceed by examples, some developed by the teacher in the classroom, others addressed together with the students in the computer laboratory.
