Target skills and knowledge: The course aims to provide the tools to use IT systems appropriately and understand the principles of their organization and functioning. In particular, the course is designed to teach the basics of data encoding, computer architectures and the manipulation / sharing of information.
Use tools for processing data in particular spreadsheets appropriately.
Integrate the spreadsheet with the other Office Automation tools (Mail Merge).
Examination methods: The test is in written form.
Each candidate must answer a series of multiple choice questions on the course program. Each question has four possible answers, of which only one is correct. The candidate must therefore indicate only one answer. The questions are drawn from those proposed in the course manual where there are the correct answers or are similar. By studying the topics of the text and practicing on the questions present, an adequate preparation for the exam is obtained.
To pass the test you must correctly answer 18 questions out of 30, equal to 60%
The duration of the test is 45 minutes
Assessment criteria: exceeding 60% of correct answers in the test

Hardware architecture of a computer: von Neumann machine, CPU, memory, peripherals.
Operating Systems and Software: types of operating systems, process management, peripherals and memory.
Networks and the Internet: local networks, the Internet and the Web.
Computers and society
Information processing and sharing: spreadsheet. The fundamental elements. Overview of the pivot tables.
Integration between Word and Excel: the mail merge
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: frontal lesson
