Syllabus
Prerequisites: This introductory undergraduate course has no specific prerequisites.
Target skills and knowledge: This course is designed to introduce the scientific study of psychology. We will talk about how psychologists ask questions from several different perspectives such as cognitive neuroscience, experimental psychology, clinical psychology and developmental psychology. We will also cover the methods psychologists use to find the answers to these questions and become acquainted with many of the important findings and theoretical approaches in the field of psychology. At the end of the course, the student will have learned to think critically about psychological evidence, and to evaluate its validity and its relevance in real life.
Examination methods: Written exam with 31 multiple choice questions
Assessment criteria: For the written exam there will be 1 score for each correct response. If the student will score 31 s/he will get the 30 cum laude. The degree of active participation during the classes will also be taken in due consideration.

Intelligence and executive functioning (if time will be enough)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Interactive frontal classes, with practical examples, experiments (in the classroom and in the lab), and probably multimedial materials.
