Syllabus

Target skills and knowledge: • Understand the main organizational structures and business functions;
• Read and understand the financial statements of an enterprise in accordance with current legislation;
• Make a budget analysis through financial rarios;
• Recognize and classify the costs of the enterprise;
• Understand and design a cost accounting system;
• Use analytical accounting in economic convenience analysis;
Examination methods: A written examination (50%) and oral examination (50%)
The written examination is organized in 10 open-ended questions to assess:
1. knowledge of the main theoretical concepts about cfinancial statements, balance sheet indexes, product cost and economic assessment
2. clarity and ability to synthesize managerial issues
3. ability of reasoning

The oral examination requires the study of a real company to prove the capability below
1. Critical Originality in the study of a real organizational context
2. Use of the theoretical knowledge to solve a real managerial issue.
Assessment criteria: The exam will evaluate
- the theorerical knowledge gained during the course
- the ability to apply theoretical concepts to exercises
