Syllabus
Prerequisites: An in-depth knowledge of the French language in its four abilities (comprehension / expression, written / oral), at the B2 + consolidated level / C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is requested.
Target skills and knowledge: The course aims to introduce students to the main foreign language teaching methods, with particular regard to the teaching of French as a foreign language (FLE). The course also aims to provide students with the necessary tools to deal with teaching French for specific purposes (FOS). Mastering the main foreign language teaching methodologies allows the students to acquire the skills necessary for planning French language courses focused on the specific needs of the learner.
Examination methods: The exam consists of a written test.
Assessment criteria: The written test assesses
- the ability to identify, describe and analyze the main FLE / FOS teaching methodologies.
- the ability to plan French language courses focused on the specific needs of the learner.
Course unit contents: The theoretical module is complemented by practical and seminar activities.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The lectures are complemented by practical activities aimed to provide the student with the opportunity to convert the theoretical notions acquired into good teaching practices.
Seminar activities aim to provide the student with opportunities to deepen the knowledge acquired and support professional development.
Additional notes about suggested reading: Course materials will be uploaded to the Moodle platform.
