Syllabus
Prerequisites: Any prerequisites are required
Target skills and knowledge: The course will provide philosophical elements for a critical investigation around the epistemological foundation of human sciences.
Examination methods: Final assessment will be conducted as an oral exam.
Students are required to take the examination on texts that have been read and discussed in class.
Assessment criteria: The knowledge of the topics and the capacity of critical analysis will be evaluated.
Course unit contents: The course deals with the problem of the constitution of otherness. Starting from the theme of Cartesian and Husserlian solipsism, the thought of E. Lévinas will be discussed related to human sciences.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course will be held in 42 hours of frontal lessons; the topics indicated in the program will be presented and discussed.
Additional notes about suggested reading: Further bibliographical references will be provided during the lessons.
