Examination board
Examination board not defined

Prerequisites: Students must demonstrate that they have the skills and knowledge corresponding to at least 8 credits of the bachelor's level or that they possess the language skills related to the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Knowledge (CEFR). To evaluate these levels, the student must pass the written tests of the bachelor's level. For more details contact the teacher.
Target skills and knowledge: The course (lecturer's course + official course) is aimed at deepening and consolidating language and communication skills in writing and oral, usable in everyday life and professional contexts. It will also develop the skills of analyzing and understanding journalistic and political texts, as well as the critical re-elaboration of the themes contained therein.
Examination methods: Written and oral examination. The oral part also consists in a comment and analysis of a text.
Assessment criteria: The evaluation of the student's preparation will be based on the understanding of the arguments, the acquisition of the concepts and the methodologies proposed and the ability to apply them autonomously and consciously. The student will have to demonstrate that he has the ability to analyze and comment on a proposed text and to be familiar with the analytical tools learned during lessons.
Course unit contents: The course will deal with specific languages in Spanish, with particular reference to the language of journalism and politics.
In addition to providing a theoretical basis on the structural characteristics of such languages, students will be started on the commentary and autonomous analysis of written and oral Spanish and Spanish-american texts.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Beside the classes, the course includes the active participation of students, also through individual and group work.

Non-attending students must follow the indicated bibliography and contact the linguistic collaborator Ana Cazorla
for the part of the lecturer.
Additional notes about suggested reading: The material provided in class (for attending students) will be available on moodle. Non-attending students must instead contact the linguistic collaborator for the part of the lecturer and study the books in the bibliography (not compulsory for attending students) for the final exam.
