Syllabus
Prerequisites: None.
Target skills and knowledge: The course aims to provide basic notions on the fundamental concepts and institutions of public and administrative law, as well as specific knowledge of Town and Country Planning Law, Construction Law and Cultural Heritage and Landscape Law.
Through an active frequency, Students will develop specific communication skills in the field of law and its specialized vocabulary, and they will be encouraged to come up with ideas and original and independent solutions, to be able to apply the knowledge and methods of legal-administrative analysis in the future.
Examination methods: Written partial exams.
Oral supplementary exams.
Assessment criteria: Evaluation of the level of knowledge and understanding of the topics discussed in class, taking also into account the acquired communication and judgment skills.
Course unit contents: Syllabus:
- the law as a social practice;
- the Constitution of the Italian Republic;
- the sources of law;
- the Public Administration: organizational aspects;
- the Public Administration: functional aspects;
- the function of town and country planning;
- the protection of cultural heritage and landscape;
- tools of the country planning;
- tools for town planning;
- the control of the building activities.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Lectures. However, Students are asked to participate actively, through the formulation of questions for clarification and deepening.
Additional notes about suggested reading: The textbooks, indicated below between them alternatively, may be replaced by the lecture notes.
Some topics of the program will be discussed in class with a level of detail greater than that reserved to them by textbooks.
