Prerequisites: Basic notions of analysis (differential calculus): real functions, derivatives, integrals
Target skills and knowledge: Principles, methods and applications of thermodynamics of systems at equilibrium; principles of chemical kinetics
Examination methods: The verification of the knowledge and expected skills will be carried out on the basis of two separate tests. The first test, written, will be based on two assessments (partial tests) in the form of numerical exercises applied to properties of thermochemical systems; the second testwill be based on an oral discussion.

The first partial test will take place approximately around the middle of the semester, the second at its conclusion. Each partial test will be based on four or five numerical exercises.

The final oral exam will be based on open questions on the main themes developed during the course.

The final grade will be obtained from the average of the marks reported in the partial tests and in the oral test.
Assessment criteria: Assessment will be based on comprehension skills and capability of applying thereotical principles to actual physico-chemical problems.
