Syllabus
Prerequisites: Knowledges in Psicologia dello Sviluppo and Psicologia Dinamica
Target skills and knowledge: The main aim of the course is to present the principal aspects of the diagnostic process in developmental age. Specific attention will be dedicated to how to lead clinical sessions, how to manange the parents in the diagnostic process and to specific psychological tools for the case formulation.
Examination methods: The exam will be written with open questions.
Assessment criteria: Knowlegde of the programs, contents of the book, critical attitude in discussing clinical cases and in case formulation will be evaluated
Course unit contents: 1) Implication of diagnostic process in developmental age
2) Phase of the diagnostic process with children and parents
3) Psychological tools from a multi-method and multi-informant perspective (self report; assessment of the psychological functioning, drawings symbolic play, personality)
4) The role of parents attachment presentation in the clinical consultation with children
4) Case formulation: how to put together the clinical information
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Theoretical lessons and presentation of clinical cases and ad hoc videos.
