Prerequisites: Basic knowledge on general psychology
Target skills and knowledge: Theoretical and methodological bases, as well as main topics, of life span psychology
Examination methods: Written exam with 3 open questions. Duration: 1 hour and a half.
The lenght of the answer to each question will be limited to one page. To pass the exam the student has to answer sufficiently to all three questions.
Questions will assess the knowledge of the concepts described in the book. Videos can support learning but do not substitute studying the book.
Assessment criteria: The exam will test the following aspects:
Knowledge of the main topics of developmental psychology
Knowledge of methods of developmental psychology
Use of an appropriate vocabulary for developmental psychology
Course unit contents: 1. Developmental psychology: history, theories and methods
2. Somatic, motor, perceptive development
3 Development of memory, intelligence and metacognition
4 Emotional, linguistic, moral and social development.
5. Adolescence
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course includes video lessons. A permanent forum will allow interaction between students and with the tutor. The forum will be divided into sections. Each of them will focus on one or more lessons (and therefore one or more chapters of the book) and will include a first phase in which the students will intervene interacting with each other (and with the tutor) and a second phase with a final intervention of the tutor.
