Syllabus
Prerequisites: To easily understand the contents of the course, the student should ideally possess notions of psychobiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and cognitive psychology.
Target skills and knowledge: The aim of the course is to provide effective knowledge of:
1) The research methodology used in neuropsychology, including neuroimaging techniques;
2) The main disorders resulting from brain injury in adults;
3) The main cognitive models outlined by the study of patients with acquired brain injury.
Examination methods: The exam consists of a computerized test

In order to participate in the examination, the student MUST register via UNIWEB
Assessment criteria: The student's assessment will be based on the comprehension of the main concepts developed throughout the course and the ability to apply them in an autonomous and informed way.
Course unit contents: Methods of investigation in neuropsychology.
Neural mechanisms of movement and motor disorders.
Neural bases of attention and attention disorders.
Neuropsychology of emotions.
Neural bases of language and language disorders.
Neural bases of perception and perceptual deficits.
Neural mechanisms of memory and memory disorders.
Neural bases of executive functions and disorders of executive functions.
Neuropsychology of neurodegenerative diseases.
Elements of brain plasticity and functional recovery.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course consists in in-depth lectures.
