Prerequisites: This course requires basic knowledge of Management, Business Organization and Governance.
Target skills and knowledge: The course aims at providing the students the following competencies and knowledge: (1) to analyse the nature of Human Resource Management (HRM) in international firms and appreciate how and why it has become so critical to competitiveness; (2) to understand the connection between corporate strategy and the effective management of human resources in the internationalization process of the firms; (3) to study and compare how HRM practices and tools work in different cultural environments
Examination methods: Final written exam on topics covered in class and group assignments.
Assessment criteria: Multiple-choice and open-end questions, Presentation of group assignments
