Syllabus
Prerequisites: The course presupposes a basic knowledge of the history of philososphy and a certain knowledge of basic elements of logic. It presupposes also a capacity to analyze into a theoretical path texts of the philosophical tradition.
Target skills and knowledge: At the end of the course the student will have to be able to connect, even from a didactical point of view and therefore in connection to the teaching of philosophy, themes and authors of different cultural areas within a coherent argumentation.
The student will also need to be able to develop an educational module from the methodologies that will be discussed during the course.
To this end the student will have to write a paper on a topic, relevant to the content of the course.
Examination methods: The exam is oral. The student will be allowed to take the ezam only afeter having submitted a paper on a topic, relevant to the content of the course.
Assessment criteria: Will be considered in the evaluation:
the ability of the argumentative reconstruction of texts discussed in class;
the ability of the argumentative reconstruction of texts dealt with in an autonomous way;
hermeutics ability;
the ability in the argumentative and conceptual rielaborations of contents in the paper;
the ability to didactically translate the contents learned;
The adequacy of the philosophical language.
Course unit contents: The course proposes a philosophical analysis of the concept of nature.
Moving from the today's philosophical naturalism, in the course will be analysed the concept of nature in the thought of Aristotle, Hegel and Heidegger.
The historical-conceptual analysis will also suggest as teaching method and therefore as a way to design specific activities for the teaching of philosophy.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: The course consists of lectures with the assistance of some experts. In particular, a secondary school philosophy's teacher will be interviewed during the course e to discuss ways of teaching the contents.
Additional notes about suggested reading: In addition to the listed works, an updated bibliography will be provided. Therefore the list of books is to be intended as provisional.
