Syllabus
Prerequisites: It is advisable to know the basic concepts concerning general psychology, individual differences psychology, social psychology, and research methodology.
Target skills and knowledge: The course addresses in parallel the themes of motivation and its relationships with emotional aspects. Particular emphasis will be given to the research methodologies with the presentation of paradigms, examples of experiments and assessment instruments. Upon completion the student will be able to read motivational and emotional aspects of situations and think about interventions to support in various contexts the emotional and motivational components.
Examination methods: The exam is written and it includes five open questions. The answers should be short and schematic (one page front and back). Three questions will concern the book 'La motivazione', one 'Motivati si nasce o si diventa?' and one the on-line material.
International students can do the exam in English.
Assessment criteria: For each of the 5 questions a score from 0 to 6 will be assigned. The sum will be the mark that will be published on uniweb. If some are particularly rich responses and the mark already equal to thirty will be accorded the distinction of praise.
