Syllabus
Prerequisites: Theory and practice in basics of strategizing and organisational themes
Target skills and knowledge: Knowledge on key aspects related to digital framework and implementation in firms. Responsiveness with respect to technological and market challenges. Orientation to an organisational intelligence frame through team working and problem solving competencies development. Design, data management, and SLA management; knowledge of design thinking practice in product experientialisation
Examination methods: Final presentation of the project work case study in front of the assigned Company Tutor, generation and first implementation of a digital strategy in a start-up / service / service-oriented SME
Assessment criteria: 1) being familiar with technical topics of the course, applied to on-the-field project work case studies
2) level of exhaustiveness / clarity, both verbal and in the presentation content
3) project team collaboration / interaction / committment

Classmates belonging to other project teams evaluate project work presentations using these criteria
Course unit contents: The course will analyze how firms:
- approach digital technologies (strategies)
- can transform their offering
- upgrade their internal processes
- transform relationships within the value chains

in the new emerging technological framework (industry 4.0, advanced and direct manufacturing). Topics considered in the course refer to digital strategies and digital transformation of firms (from more established technological solutions such as ERP or ecommerce) up to more advanced technological projects (robotics, 3d printing, big data)
