Prerequisites: The course requirements concern basic knowledge of Strategy, Organizational design and Human resource management.
Target skills and knowledge: The aim of the course is to provide students with approaches and managerial tools for supporting digital transformation of the firms.
By the end of the Lab, students will experience the development of some human resource practices (from recruiting to leadership to performance management) or the redesing of organizational structures or organization of work.
Examination methods: Final presentation of the project work case study in front of the assigned Company Tutor
Assessment criteria: 1) Being familiar with technical topics of the course, applied to on-the-field project work case studies
2) Level of exhaustiveness / clarity, both verbal and in the presentation content
3) Project team collaboration / interaction / committment
Classmates belonging to other project teams evaluate project work presentations using these criteria
Course unit contents: The course will analyse approaches and develop tools for redesigning organization structures and human resource practices, when firms face the digital trasformation of processes:
- How to redesgin the organization and leadership for actively building internal agility and external ecosystems
- How to leverage digital technology to design and improve the workplace and the workforce (i.e.: digital HR)
- How to build a new management system to empower and engage people and teams (i.e: performance management, career paths)
- How to leverage data, cognitive technologies, artificial intelligence to improve effectiveness and attraction (i.e: recruiting and selection, job allocation, development plans)
