Prerequisites: none
Target skills and knowledge: The student will be able to acquire fundamental knowledge to understand the entrepreneurial development process and to acquire the basic knowledge to organize the team work of a start-up and the evaluation of a business plan.
Examination methods: Individual written exam (60%)
Group assignment (project work) (40%)
Assessment criteria: The student must demonstrate knowledge of the issues addressed during the course and be able to interpret the analysis of the entrepreneurial process, including the ability of corporate governance, and the organization of a business model. It will also have to show good levels of autonomy in applying the knowledge acquired to different business cases, indicating the right strategies.

Feasibility analysis (chapter 3)
Choosing a form of business organization (part of chapter 7)
Assessing a New Venture’s Financial Strength and Viability (chapter 8)
Building a new venture team (chapter 9)
Preparing for and evaluating the challenges for growth (chapter 13)

Module B – Strategy for Growth
Developing an Effective Business Model (chapter 4)
Industry and Competitor Analysis (chapter 5)
Writing a Business Plan (chapter 6)
Marketing Issues (chapter 11)
The Importance of Intellectual Property (chapter 12)
Strategies for Firm Growth (chapter 14): including entrepreneurial growth, portfolio restructuring activities and firms' renewal (invited Professor)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: In addition to traditional lectures, the student will be involved in seminar activities, case study, firm' leader presentation, and group work to be presented in class.
