Prerequisites: Human Genetics, Physiopathology
Target skills and knowledge: Patholobiolgy of inherited cardiovascular diseases. Genetic-based classification of cardiac diseases. Interpretation of the genetic test and clinical competence refering to the requirement of health professionals to know when, and how the genetic test should be applied to improve patient health outcomes.
Examination methods: the multiple choice test will have 60 questions each of which has 5 possible answers, to be answered in 50 min
Assessment criteria: at least 50 of the 60 mutliple choice queries should be answered correctly in order to be promoted
Course unit contents: Primitive Cardiomyopathies both structural and sine-materia,
Gentic factors of cardiac diseases: hypertension, valve disease. classification. gentic tests. on-line predictive databses for genetic data interpretation.Disease specific genetic and clinical guidelines and genetic test interpretation.
