Syllabus
Target skills and knowledge: A profound knowledge of common causes of thrombosis and hemorrhages
Information about some rare causes of thrombosis and hemorrhage
Ability in the interpretation of laboratory data related to hemostasis
Good knowledge of clinical characteristics of thrombo-hemorrhagic syndromes
Ability in developing a correct diagnostic protocol for comprehending etiology of thrombo-hemorrhagic events.
Profound knowledge of anticoagulant, anti-platelets, anti-thrombotic drugs with a clear idea of their efficacy and adverce events.
Examination methods: We should perform occasionally audits mainly during the discussion of reported cases, to evaluate the student's ability 1) in performing a correct diagnosis on the basis of clinical and laboratory tests and 2) in using the best available therapy for each patient.
The examination will be a talk about the problems discussed during the the lessons
