Common characteristics of the Integrated Course unit

Prerequisites: The knowledge of topics of Basic concepts of Psychology is useful to follow the lessons
Target skills and knowledge: The aim of this course is to give notions on brain functioning and on the biological bases of the principal cognitive processes such as emotional processes and language.
Examination methods: Multiple choice test.
Assessment criteria: Students will be evaluated on the acquisition of the topics included in the book chapters.

Specific characteristics of the Module

Course unit contents: 1) Sexual Behaviour
2) Sleep and Waking
3) Learning and Memory
4) Lateralization, Language, and Intelligence
5) Emotion, Reward, Aggression, and Stress
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Lessons will be integrated by collective exercises and videos. Scientific papers will be also analyzed.
