Syllabus

Common characteristics of the Integrated Course unit

Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of work and organizational psychology, psychosocial research methodology, and clinical psychology is required.
Target skills and knowledge: Epistemological, theoretical, and methodological aspects of action research, and specifically its applications in work contexts, as well as basic principles for conducting interviews in the organization. Students will acquire essential knowledge for the understanding of the considered topics, the specific language of the discipline, and will learn the ability to translate knowledge into applications.
Examination methods: Written examination with 6-8 open and/or multiple-choise questions to answer in an hour and a half.
Assessment criteria: The students are evaluated on their mastery of the epistemological, theoretical, and methodological perspectives of action research, as well as their ability to apply this knowledge to interventions in different areas.

Specific characteristics of the Module

Course unit contents: Methodological aspects relating to interviews, with reference to the action research.
Constitutive, structural and dynamic aspects of the interview. The technique of the question.
Applications in different organizational contexts.
Narrative interview in organizational and social research.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Frontal lessons.
Practical sessions on interviewing techniques.
