Syllabus
Prerequisites: English language skill B1 level, according to Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFRL), for main lecture.
Target skills and knowledge: PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE GENERAL METHODOLOGY (Main lecture held in English 4 ECTS):
Knowledge and understanding:
students will achieve knowledge about the main features of professional practice: roles, competences, responsibility; also include definitions and international frameworks of disability.
Applying knowledge and understanding:
learners will know and will use simple tools in rehabilitation work context and clinical reasoning as well; they will also be able to manage the therapeutic relationship with the help of a supervisor.
Making judgements:
students will use the clinical method, peculiar of professional practice, in simple terms.
Communication skills:
students will be able to inform the peer group about critical remarks on scientific works.
Learning skills:
learners will know and use professional practice methods related to research and training, in simple terms

THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP (integrative lecture held in Italian* 2 ECTS):
Learners will achieve knowledge about relationship implications with patient in physiotherapist practice: roles, needs, feelings, values, communication mode, bodily interaction, rehabilitation contexts.

HEALTH PEDAGOGY (integrative lecture held in Italian* 2 ECTS):
At the end of the course the student will acquire the following Knowledge:
 describe the aims of education, according to lifelong learning process;
 analyse the concepts of adults learning;
 describe adult learning style;
 describe the educational process stages;
 illustrate the phases of educational project;
 recognize the principles and strategies of effective communication and help patient relationship;
discuss about obstacles to effective communication (self-unawareness, context difficulties, management and recipient) and useful approaches in order to overcome them.
