Syllabus
Course unit contents: The course aims to introduce students to the history of contemporary Russian Literature since the so called Perestrojka till nowadays. The literary landscape of post-soviet Russia
will be analyzed in order to single out some lines of development from Postmodernist Literature to the so-called Mass-Literature. It will be taken into consideration also the transformation of the novel as a genre, a phenomenon of particular prominence in the new century. The question of the applicability of the postcolonial model to post-soviet literature will be also evaluated.
