Basic knowledge of mathematical analysis and probability theory. |
Target skills and knowledge:

This course provides basic knowledge on modern telecommunications networks and the mathematical tools essential for their analysis and performance evaluation.
Particular focus is given to the TCP/IP protocol stack and to the Ethernet and WiFi technologies. |
Examination methods:

Written and oral exam. |
Assessment criteria:

Students will be evaluated on the understanding of the arguments, on the acquisition of the concepts and methodologies proposed and on the ability to apply them in an autonomous and conscious way. |
