Target skills and knowledge:

Objectives: Improvement of linguistic and pragmatic competence of Spanish
Knowledge of Spanish as a variable system in its sociocultural context with special reference to linguistic contact. |
Course unit contents:

Central Topic of lessons during the first term (42 hours):
Linguistic and sociocultural variation of contemporary Spanish. The analysis will focus on the principal linguistic phenomena related to geographical and sociocultural variation of Spanish. The interaction between linguistic and extra-linguistic factors will be specially analyzed with specific reference to Spanish in contact with English and Italian in a migratory context. |
