Syllabus
Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of Psychobiology and Cognitive psychology is required.
Target skills and knowledge: At the end of the course, students will have acquired comprehensive knowledge of the neuropsychological signs/symptoms of the main acquired brain disorders.
Examination methods: Students who are interested to sustain the exam either in English or in Greek, should communicate their choice by email (to: konstantinos.priftis@unipd.it) for obtaining specific information on the required English or Greek textbooks.
The exam will be written (30 minutes) and it will take place in rooms with specially-equipped computers. The exam consists of 31 multiple-choice questions. Each question will be associated with four answers. Only one answer will be the correct one.
Assessment criteria: 1. Ability to accurately learn theoretical notions and practical issues regarding clinical neuropsychology.
2. Ability to perform differential neuropsychological diagnoses.
Course unit contents: 1. Introduction to neurological diseases.

2. Clinical neuropsychology of the aphasias, amnesias, alexias, agraphias, and apraxias.

3. Clinical neuropsychology of the executive functions.

4. Differential diagnosis in clinical neuropsychology.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: 1. Classroom lectures.
2. Videopresentations of neuropsychological cases.
3. Interactive participation online in the WEB Forum of the course.
Additional notes about suggested reading: Students can sustain the exam in Italian, English or Greek. Within the first week of the course, students who are interested to sustain the exam either in English or in Greek, should communicate their choice by email to: konstantinos.priftis@unipd.it
