Syllabus
Prerequisites: Notions of general linguistics.
Target skills and knowledge: Theorical and methodological competences related to the contents of the course.
Examination methods: Written exam with multiple choice, semi-open and open questions or realisation of a teaching activity.
Assessment criteria: Evalutation of the theoretical competence aquired and of the real and concrete teaching problem solving capability.
Course unit contents: - Introduction to language teaching education and the relation with related sciences;
- Principles of language teaching;
- Neuro- and psycholinguistic foundations of language teaching;
- Theories, approaches, methods and techniques to teach foreing languages;
- The Theory of Interlanguage;
- Tools for the anlysisi of teaching materials;
- The use of authentic materials in foreign language teaching;
- The sociolinguistic dimension in language teaching;
- Case studies
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Ex cathedra and collaborative classes; short workshop activities.
