Syllabus
Prerequisites: Employment Law
Target skills and knowledge: This is an advanced course focused on internazional fundamental rights as we may find in international conventions or other international law sources. The course is in English. Partecipants will be required to work on the ECJ and the ECHR case law tracking similarities and differences, or common pathways in the legal doctrine developed by the Courts.
students are asked to read on their own Case law before lectures in order to be ready to discuss with teachers.
Examination methods: Oral examination in English.
Assessment criteria: The valuation of a student is based on his/her knowledge of topics and on his/her ability to link and discuss subjects, pointing out links between Cases explained in class.
Course unit contents: The course is mainly focused on EU social law, ILO conventions and on ECHR provisions attaining to workers, employees and trade unions.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods: Lectures focus on Case law and documents produced by international institutions in order to guarantee the application of fundamental rights in the area of labour and employment law.
