Syllabus
Prerequisites: Students are not required to know in advance specific concepts concerning business administration, accounting, human resource management.
Target skills and knowledge: Specific learning outcomes:
- to provide students with the theoretical background for the analysis of the economic dimension of each organization
- to identify the main frameworks to support strategic analysis;
- to provide students with the (basic) managerial tools, in order to understand governance issues, stakeholder relationships and basic bookkeeping
Examination methods: Written (and oral) examinations, with three specific parts:
- written exam for the Human Resource Management course; the oral examination should be carried out if the assessment of the written part is equal to 18 or 19 or 20
- written exam for the Business Administration course; the oral examination should be carried out if the assessment of the written part is equal to 18 or 19 or 20
- written examination for the common part: student are required to analyze a short case study
Assessment criteria: In written exams the accuracy of answers are evaluated; in the common part, the overall reasoning of student is evaluated and its congruence with concepts and examples discussed during the classes.
